Organization

Founded in August of 1995, the Aberdeen Economic Development Commission was granted 501(c)(6) status, qualifying it as nonprofit corporation. As an entity unto itself, the Economic Development Commission has attracted Aberdeen business owners who support the growth and retention of existing businesses and welcome new industry to our city limits. The Commission also works with the government on the local and state level to encourage economic growth. Loan programs and financial initiatives are researched and marketed through Aberdeen’s EDC. Meetings are held once monthly and all meetings are open to the public.
